Course LevelsThe Linguatime English course system contains 6 levels. The teaching plan and progression of each level are set according to selected textbooks. A placement test is held at the beginning of the course to guarantee the students' placing within the most suitable English class. Level I: BeginnerYou have very little knowledge of English or no knowledge at all. You are able to communicate basic information and use basic phrases. Your ability to speak is limited to the most basic structures and vocabulary as in "tourist-like situations". Level II: ElementaryYou are able to understand simple questions, statements and survive in basic situations. You are able to make yourself understood in some everyday situations. You use mainly present tense, with some set phrases for the past. Level III: Pre-IntermediateYou are able to communicate adequately in simple everyday situations. You are able to name common objects, events and people in familiar roles. You can use simple expressions for past, present and future tense although you still make basic errors. Level IV: IntermediateYou are able to communicate your ideas in most everyday situations and on common topics. You are able to use a variety of tenses and expressions with reasonable accuracy. You deal confidently with authentic listening and reading material. You know quite a lot of vocabulary and you need practice using it. Level V: Upper IntermediateYou are able to express yourself quite fluently, although not always accurately, with a wide range of vocabulary and a command of comprehensive grammar structures. You are able to use English in a variety of contexts. Level VI: AdvancedYou can communicate fluently in a wide variety of situations. You are able to use an extensive range of tenses and idiomatic expressions and possess the relevant language strategies to be able to deal with highly specialized tasks. |
